Hair Guide
THE HAIR GUIDE
Discover everything you need to know about choosing, styling and maintaining your hair. Whether you’re purchasing your first wig or adding to your collection, our guide is designed to help you make the right choice and get the most out of your investment.
UNDERSTANDING OUR HAIR COLLECTION
Raw Hair vs Virgin Hair
Raw hair is hair that has not undergone chemical processing, retaining its natural texture and characteristics. It is known for its durability, versatility and natural appearance.
Virgin hair has not been chemically treated before collection, although it may undergo further processing to achieve particular textures and finishes.
Both options offer beautiful results when cared for correctly.
CHOOSING YOUR WIG
Closure Wigs vs Frontal Wigs
Our 6×6 HD Lace Closure Wigs provide a natural-looking finish with versatile parting options. They are ideal for customers looking for a stylish, relatively low-maintenance option.
Our 13×6 HD Lace Frontal Wigs offer wider lace coverage across the hairline, providing greater flexibility when styling and parting your hair.
Understanding HD Lace
HD lace is a fine, lightweight lace designed to blend seamlessly with the skin, creating the appearance of a natural hairline when professionally installed.
WIG CAP SIZE GUIDE
For a comfortable and secure fit, we recommend measuring the circumference of your head before ordering.
Small: 20.5”–21.5”
Medium: 21.5”–22.5”
Large: 22.5”–23.5”
If your measurement falls between two sizes, we recommend selecting the larger size.
WIG DENSITY GUIDE
Density refers to the amount of hair used in your wig and determines its overall fullness.
150% Density: A lightweight, natural-looking finish.
180% Density: A fuller appearance with balanced volume.
200% Density: Maximum fullness for a voluminous, glamorous look.
HAIR CARE & MAINTENANCE
Washing & Conditioning
Gently detangle your hair before washing, working from the ends towards the roots.
Use a suitable shampoo and conditioner, avoiding excessive rubbing or tangling. Rinse thoroughly and allow the hair to air-dry where possible.
Heat Styling & Colouring
Always use heat protection before applying heat and avoid excessive temperatures.
We recommend seeking professional assistance for bleaching, colouring and chemical treatments, as these processes can affect the quality and longevity of the hair.
Overnight Protection
Protecting your hair while sleeping helps preserve your hairstyle and reduce unnecessary friction.
Our THD Hair Silk Wrap is designed to help secure your lace and maintain styled layers. For best results, use it over a white barber strip along your hairline.
Pair with our THD Hair Satin Bonnet to help protect the lengths of your hair overnight.
Maintaining Your Wig Installation
Avoid excessive pulling, scratching or applying unnecessary products directly to your lace.
Secure your hair before sleeping and follow the aftercare guidance provided by your hairstylist.
With the right maintenance routine, you can help preserve the appearance and condition of your wig between installations.
